A genuine interest in people and a passion for humanitarian issues, the environment and travel has been reflected throughout Gail’s working life.

During a successful career in the Travel and Tourism Industry Gail operated at a senior level, travelled extensively, and enjoyed working with different nationalities and cultures. As an independent freelancer, who photographs and writes with equal proficiency, Gail pursues her humanitarian interests working with NGO’s, NCO's, NFP's and smaller charities to raise awareness of the lives of others. Her involvement with the Travel and Tourism Industry continues, with particular focus on sustainable and community tourism.

Gail experienced living and working  in  North Africa, West Africa, South East Asia and a number of places closer to home, including France, Austria and Greece. She speaks good Greek, French and rusty German - and can say 'hello, how are you, cheers and where's the lou" in a number of other languages!

The fact Gail feels so at home and knows so well many of the places  in which she photographs is reflected throughout her work.  Naturally sensitive and empathetic to situations, she works openly but with respect and discretion, using the minimum of kit and natural light.  Choosing the right 'fit' of a photographer for an assignment is  just as important as their ability to take photographs, and follow the brief.

Gail's  photo essays  include 'Living in the shadow of' - documenting the lives of people in Belarus, Morocco, Greece and Rwanda.

Mounted or framed prints of selected photographs are produced for sale. and Gail also periodically produces images on contemporary media  and designs photographic products.
