Workshops are designed for different purposes and for different levels of photographic ability and can be tailor-made to meet client requirements. Clients include charities and educational organisations, schools, colleges, arts centres, galleries and small local businesses.

Schools and Education partner with Gail for creative learning and projects that link with the national curriculum. Gail works children and young people of all ages - from primary school through to University students, encouraging their enthusiasm for photography through focused learning which helps them develop a range of different skills, as well as becoming more informed about copyright, the ethiclal and legal and responsible implications of photography.

Lectures (talks!) about Gail's work and photography are given to a variety of audiences, from enthusiastic school children, clubs and societies to corporate business and events. Locations have included the NEC in Birmingham and conference centres as well as the occasional camera club and local Church hall. Gail has hosted tailor-made presentations for charity/corporate social responsibliity events and is able to intermix her business, travel and photography background with her presentations and workshops.

Study Days are focused on specific photographic skills or subjects, and are usually aimed at school/college 13+ age group or adults. Study days are often developed in conjunction with a teacher or lecturer so that they are curriculum specific. Adult study days are held in different venues in the UK and Morocco - often tailor-made for an organisation.

Photography Holidays

Responsible Photography Holidays are very small group photography and walking holidays to Morocco, Rwanda and Ethiopia that support sustainable community, income-generating and conservation projects.

Drawing on her expertise and personal knowledge, Gail founded Responsible Photography Holidays in 2002 to share her photographic expertise and her strong belief in the importance of encouraging, supporting and helping long term, sustainable, community based income generation, educational and conservation projects. Gail's partners all share a commitment to sustainable development and have helped organise special itineraries in their home lands. Responsible photography holidays offer an opportunity to get off the beaten track and enjoy different experiences (not just photography) with a very small group of like minded people. Group size is 3-6/7 maximum. Please note that Responsible Photography Holidays is a specialist photography enterprise and is a trading name of Gail Ward, completely independent and not part of any other organisation or Tour Operation.
